Patient
Description:
40-year-old male. He was
embarrassed by his smile, but did not want orthodontics to straighten his teeth. He was
also dissatisfied with the color of his teeth. His front teeth do not touch this is
called an open bite and is due to a tongue thrust problem which actually pushes the teeth
out every time he swallows.
Procedure:
8 porcelain veneers; straightened, whitened and lengthened the teeth. Dr. Zweig corrected
the tongue thrust problem by putting him in a bite plane/retainer to hold the teeth in
position. |
